Liliana taught me to use my body in a different way. I went to see her because of a neck injury and she besides dealing with it, she teached me that my posture was the cause of the pain which I had suffered for years. I learned the correct posture for my head, shoulders and legs; she showed me how to balance the weight while walking, including a correct way to move my arms. When I went for a walk with my “new walking style”, something great happened that I had not felt for the past 10 years, I got compliments on the street!, and all my family told me that I was looking thinner… Very pleasant side effects of the therapy!

My experience with the Physiotherapist Mrs. Liliana Rozo, is summarized in two specific therapeutic experiences: a) The treatment of plantar fasciitis, very badly treated in me; which meant a very professional therapy by her, achieving a score of one hundred percent, because all the chronic pain disappeared and haven’t felt it anymore. I am currently undergoing treatment by the rupture of the rotator cuff and subacromial bursitis, which is very painful. I do have to mention that as a former enduro rider; I had a "certain" culture with physical therapists, but I must admit that the experience, dedication and monitoring, which the physiotherapist Liliana Rozo do; It is far superior to what I had known.

Orthopedic Manual Therapy

Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (OMT) is a specialty of kinesiology or physiotherapy trauma area, based on the assessment and management of neuro skeletal muscle disorders. For that, use clinical reasoning and includes specific manual techniques (joints, muscles, posture, neural) and therapeutic exercises. Also it based on clinical and scientific evidence and psychosocial patient frame.

This technique is a clinical approach using specific manual techniques including; mobilization / manipulation used by the kinesiologist to diagnose and treat soft tissue and joint structures for the purpose of modulating pain, increase range of motion, known to reduce inflammation, even eliminating it, induce relaxation, promoting tissue repair and contractile structures noncontractile, extensibility and stability, facilitating and improving movement. PHYSIOTHERAPY POSTURAL AND SPORTING

Physical Therapy rehabilitation in sports injuries has a fundamental role not only in treating symptoms, but on the analysis of movement during sports movements, in order to correct any inappropriate maladaptive patterns and prevent injuries.

Maintaining proper postures during daily life, work activity and sport practicing, allows the spine to be correctly aligned, preserving the normal curves, making it more flexible and also more tolerant of load that requires daily function.

The evaluation and treatment of an adult and child patient is individualized designing a specific routine for each case.

Some injuries and diseases, treated with Physiotherapy are:

  • Overload foot fractures
  • Muscle tear
  • Post rehabilitation orthopedic joint replacement surgery
  • Herniated discs
  • Clamping Femoroacetabular
  • Facet syndromes Column
  • Sprains
  • Fractures
  • Dislocations
  • y muchas otras más

post breast reconstruction and rehabilitation capsular contracture

The physiotherapy treatment Post Surgical is broad and is focused mainly on the management of inflammation, pain, easing the compromised tissue (muscle, tendon, skin, especially in cases of skin irradiated by radiation therapy), standardization of joint mobility shoulder and ribs, muscle strength restoration, adaptation of soft tissue with the breast implant and scar care.

Also in the breast implant surgery, post operative physical therapy should include prophylactic protocol breast capsular contracture.

As a natural response of the body to receive the implant, the body forms scar tissue around it called periprosthetic capsule. This fabric has elastic properties which mainly myofibroblasts be compressed to retract the implant, which is termed capsular contracture.

In my clinical experience, breast capsular contracture in early stages (Baker I and II) has positive results, with early physiotherapy treatment and orthopedic manual therapy techniques.
